Trish wanted her grey hair brightened up and an edgy haircut. Jess worked her magic on beautiful Trish adding some very fine highlights framing her short haircut to give this gorgeous hairstyle an awesome finish.
After 44 years in hairdressing sometimes you come across someone’s hair that nearly (nearly!) has you beat.
So, meet Barb who came into the salon with the most challenging hair I have seen for many years.
Barb’s hair has a lot of frizz at the back and is straight on top. I decided to use a relaxer to smooth out the frizz and give the hair a more manageable texture. After the relaxer is applied, Barb’s hair has body but sits down beautifully, leaving her extremely happy with the results.
My beautiful client Tralee wanted a colour and style change. We decided to freshen up her colour with some bright blonde highlights and a root fade. Root fade deepens the blonde highlights so you get a beautiful blend from root to tips going from darker to lighter. I then cut a beachy textured long layer hairstyle to compliment. The last few weeks have been amazing. We have done SO many Before and After’s. This beautiful lady came in with Steve and wanted something different and left it up to him. So Steve changed her colour to a cool chocolate brown and cut her hair into an easy to manage on-trend long Pixi cut.
The Makeover Brief
Sharon came to us feeling fed up and unhappy with her hair. She said she had tried many hairdressing salons but always left uninspired and not listened too. She wanted something that would give her a massive lift, a complete change of look to re-invent herself. After a couple of very trying years Sharon was ready for a dramatic change!
The Haircut
Sharons hair has quite a strong natural wave and is fine but lots of hair. So with an expert eye it was suggested that Sharon should lose all the dreadlocks and go for a short, choppy, pixie haircut with a dramatic colour to suit.
The Hair Colour
Sharons hair was grey at the roots with a dark reddish brown through the mid lengths and ends. We suggested that once he removed the dreadlocks to take Sharon to a soft lilac Silver Blonde from our awesome Schwarzkopf professional range of hair colour.
The Result

The Brief
Nadine emailed me saying that she wanted a complete hair makeover. She recently lost her husband and also lost 15Kg! She said she was feeling feed up with herself and needed a real change.
We spoke about her life style and she really wanted something easy to manage that she could blast dry.
The Hair Cut
Initially, she wanted to keep her hair long but I convinced her to go for a much shorter look because her hair was really overpowering her face and not working with her glasses. She agreed and said “I trust you and I will leave it to you” – >>I LOVE that!<< So off it came, a nice choppy soft hair cut with tons of texture.
The Hair Colour
We then coloured the cut with a natural copper brown and added some deeper lowlights adding depth to the highlights that were there already.
The Finished Result
Wow what a change! Nadine had so many lovely comments (over 90!) on our Facebook page that meant so much to her and made her feel a million dollars!
The Brief
Tralee wanted a haircut that would frame her face and keep her length. She really wanted some long layers so it is easy to put up as she is in the gym most days. With the colour Tralee wanted something that would soften her hair colour without looking washed out and its important that the colour is low maintenance.
The Hair Colour
We used a mix of very fine blonde honey, cream and butterscotch tones through Tralee’s hair keeping the brightness at the front to frame her face. Using our signature highlighting technique that keeps the hair looking healthy, natural, soft and fresh.
The Haircut
Long soft textured layers cut to balance with Tralee’s face shape and contours. Then finished with a soft beachy wave blow out.
The Finished Result
Such a beautiful result. Tralee is really happy with her mixed fine honey blonde with cream and butterscotch tones…
The Brief
Sue was fed up with her frizzy unmanageable hair and wanted something fresh, up to date and short. She was so over her frizzy unmanageable hair!
The Haircut & Yuko Straightener
Steve restyled her hair keeping it short but soft and off Sues face.
The sides were undercut but keep long enough to be soft and shapley and the top was disconnected so we could add a little fullness and shape.
We then used the Yuko Straightening System to de-frizz and straighten her hair and make her hair much more manageable and easy to maintain.
The Finished Result
We think the picture says a thousand words an Sue definitely left the salon with a new fresh look to see her through the next few months!
The Brief
Loving Wendy’s new style and colour! After feeling washed out and too blonde, Steve used a freehand technique to create dimension followed by a softer more flattering on-trend style by Richard
The Haircut
Richard then cut Wendy’s hair into a shorter, softer on trend textured haircut that’s easy to manage and blow drys with minimal fuss.
The Hair Colour
Steve used our free hand signature highlighting technique to create dimension, depth with a little warmth.
This technique is great for reducing down the amount of blonde and make it a much easier colour to maintain.
The colour was applied following the new haircut Richard had created for Wendy bringing everything together.
The Finished Result
Wendy LOVES her new cut and colour! We think it has knocked years off her and is much more flattering for her skin tone and eye colour.
The Brief
Charlee wanted to jazz up her colour with no commitment to colour because she loves to be Blonde too.
The Haircut
Charlee wanted to go for a shorter undercut and something that would make a bit of a statement. So we clippered underneath her hair and then texturised the top to give it a beautiful funky Pixie cut.
The Hair Colour
We decided to take her from Blonde to Blackberry using our new 3 min colour service… with stunning results!
The Finished Result
Simply beautiful, funky, on trend and doesn’t Charlee look stunning!
In the video below I met with Trudy and she wanted a complete new look! Her hair was quite long and was really starting to age her. So we decided to take it a lot shorter using her facial features and bone structure to create a softer, flattering look and something that was more on trend but also taking into consideration her age.
The Brief
Jennifer asked if we could get rid of her grey hair and old highlights and go for a Balayage and to make her frizzy hair look healthy, keep the length and control her frizzy curly hair.
The Hair Colour
First we used Olaplex treatment then recoloured her whole hair with a natural ash brown and then free hand painted some Balayage highlights through. – then a bit of makeup and hey presto! Beautiful…

Its SO nice when someone lets you play! Cleo wanted a edgy style cut and something different with her colour…. something a bit edgy… So we bleached the ends of her hair using our premium powder lightener and then darkened the roots with a smokey brown. We then toned it with a pure silver using our beautiful toners with a dash of our in colour luxury treatment and of course Olaplex. Hope you like it as much as we do! We think she looks stunning!!
Anyone that know’s our Senior Stylist Jess will appreciate her love of colour. In this short video Steve takes Jess from blonde to this stunning turquoise green and aqua blue… I think you can tell she loved it!
