Follow these steps to get the best results from Olaplex 3
Step 1 – Dampen your hair with water and towel dry. Apply a generous amount of the No.3 Hair Perfector to your towel dried hair and comb through with a tangle teaser to ensure good saturation.
Step 2 – Leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes. The longer that it is left in the hair, the more effective it will be and the better results you will see.
Step 3 – Rinse thoroughly and shampoo and condition as normal.
Please note that the Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector is not a ‘leave-in’ conditioner. An Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector treatment should always be followed by a thorough rinse and shampoo.
However having said that if your hair is really comprimised then get a very small amount and apply it to your hair and blowdry in. This works really well for curly hair where the curl has dropped out.
Generally, we recommend using the Olaplex No.3 on a weekly basis to continue the strengthening of bonds and repair any damage that is encountered day-to-day.
If you have more severe damage, you can use the Olaplex No.3 on your hair two to three times per week.
Always remember that while we suggest a minimum of 10 minutes, the longer that the Olaplex No.3 is left in the hair, the more it will work.

The most popular question I’m always asked is what is the difference between Olaplex No 2 in salon treatment and Olaplex No.3 take-home treatment.
The difference is this…
Olaplex no 2 in salon treatment is 15% concentrate and No 3 home treatment is 12.5% concentrate. So the No3 is the best thing to use at home to keep up in-salon treatments and to maintain your hairs strength and condition.
One thing that is often mistaken is that it is a conditioner.
Olaplex is a bond rebuilder that links broken bonds back together before, during and after chemical services.

Yes, it’s best to do the Olaplex treatment before your colour then shampoo out with Olaplex 4 and conditioner with no 5. This will make sure your hair is healthy and strong and will help avoid damage to your hair.
Normally you will see a difference straight away however some people find that after 2 treatments they get best results. Always remember less is more with Olaplex as too much will over strengthen your hair and may make it feel hard. If this happens don’t worry just use plenty of No5 conditioner.

Depending on the hair and how damaged it is normally treat with Olaplex before your colour however you can use it after if you and to give it some extra strength.
I would rinse out before you colour as the product could interfere with your colour service.

I would suggest that you use No 0 before and No 3 after as relaxers can be quite damaging to hair.

Question: I have very fine hair that is far too soft. I have it permed for volume and have it highlighted. It is normally in good condition but as I am getting older my hair is changing. Will Olaplex help? Worried it will make it even softer. – Alison

Question: My hair is naturally blonde but twice a year I have it highlighted. The last time i had it highlighted was Christmas and the last cut/trim was in May.
It is also quite fine and slightly wavy but the waves fall out usually after a couple of hours after my hair washing routine which I do once every 5 days or so.
Recently it began breaking/snapping, not from the roots but from the body of the hair.
Today I tried Olaplex no.3.
I used it, after wetting and slightly drying it with a cotton cloth, concentrating on the damaged areas, and then a little on the roots. I left it in for about 6 hours. After rinsing it off and shampooing and conditioning I left it to dry naturally.
It has dried very frizzy and dry and looks very unkempt, especially from half way down and to the ends.
My question is should I have seen positive results straight away or am I more likely to see them after a few uses?
