Steve Wynder talks about hair colour

People tell you lots of things about themselves when you’re doing their hair and one thing that quite often comes up is when people talk about their weight or body size. This got me thinking, I wonder if there is anybody out there that really understands nutrition, health and body size and the relationship they play with one another.

Let me introduce Dan Lewin a friend of mine who talks about Health at Every Size® and the non-diet approach. In this video I interviewed Dan and he tells me about the workshop he will be doing in our salon.

Introduction to Health At Every Size® (HAES) and the non-diet approach

Have you tried every diet under the sun without long-term success?
If you are tired of being on the dieting merry-go-round and genuinely want to break free from the cycle and improve your health and relationship with food and body, then this workshop is for you! We invite you to come and learn about an approach to health and wellbeing that will enrich your life.

HAES is a weight-neutral approach that supports people to adopt health behaviours, whilst rejecting diet mentality and culture. HAES celebrates size diversity and encourages compassionate self-care by eating in a flexible manner, moving one’s body in a joyful way, and body respect. The Non-Diet Approach fosters eating behaviours driven by satisfaction, appetite, taste, availability, body acceptance and nutrition science.

“It doesn’t matter if your hair is short, long or curly

The haircut is the most important thing about any hairstyle and sometimes this is overlooked.

I see so many hairdressers focusing on hair colour and not thinking through the hairstyle.

The haircut should be the right balance for your face shape and cut so that it makes your hair easy to manage.”
